A special flight of Biman left for Yangon on Monday evening with a delegation of businessmen, travel agents and journalists.
From now on, every Monday and Thursday the Biman will host two flights to Myanmar.
‘Myanmar is a lucrative destination for travellers and business people. We are happy to resume the flight to Yangon after a long gap and hope to add more destinations shortly,’ Biman chief executive officer Kevin Steel said on the occasion.
Biman had introduced Dhaka-Yangon flight in January 1976 but suspended it in 2006 for various reasons.
