Dhaka, July 28 2013 Chief Executive Officer of Malindo Air , Mr Chandran Rama Muthy today unveiled Air’s international expansion plans with the official announcement of the launce of daily mom-stop scheduled flight from Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka beginning August 28th 2013. This announcement marks malindo Air’s first international route. Also present at the announcement ceremony was the Honorable civil Aviation and Tourism Minister of Bangladesh Mr Muhammad Faruk Khan.
Malindo Air’s daily non-stop Boeing 737-900ER flights will provide convenient regional connections for Bangladesh’s population of 150 million people, further enhancing the nation’s burgeoning economy.
Malindo Air recognizes the emerging socio-economic trends in Bangladesh drive in part by Bangladesh’s agribusiness, Technology and tourism sectors. These trends have created an emerging middle- income working class who want to travel to see and experience the world. On the other hand, Malaysia has an established middle-income working class who, have become regular travelers, significantly contributing to the growth and development of tourism.

Malindo Air’s immediate expansion plan includes flights from Kuala Lumpur to Bali, Jakarta, Medan and island of Batam in Indonesia continues Chandran.
Chandran also says that Bangladesh is an important market as it is one of the top five countries in the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program, with Bangladesh growing interests in the Malaysian property, Heslthcare and education sectors.
Malindo Air operates brand new Boeing 737-900ERs (extended range) and promises not just low fares but superior products and services as well. Malindo Air is a hybrid airline whice offers both business and economy classes. Malindo Air’s all leather-seats have wider seat pitches of 45 inches in classand 32 inches in economy – class for our customer’s comfort. Every passenger seat comewith an inflight entertainment system that includes a personal tv for watching movies, TV programs and other shows. Wi-Fi will be available in October.
Specifically for Dhaka route, Malindo provides its business- class customers baggage allowances of 40kg. For economy –class travelers, it is 35kg for those travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka and 25kg for those travelling from Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur.
